Established in 2021, Y-LAB is a non-profit research institution, situated in Ningbo on China's eastern seaboard. We strive to advance the frontiers of new materials science and develop technologies with the best commercial potential.  Through close collaboration with industry, we power the full cycle of innovation to accelerate the transfer of cutting-edge technologies from the laboratory to the marketplace. 

 

Y-LAB is engaged in a diverse range of material research, including advanced structural materials, advanced functional materials, transformative materials and advanced manufacturing.

 

Y-LAB has a series of talent programs to attract researchers as well as entrepreneurs and managers. Our STARS programs including Strategic Scientist Program, Team Leader Program, Achiever Program, Rising Star Program and Career Starter Program are respectively for strategic scientists, research leaders, senior researchers, young scientists and PhD graduates.
