Y-Lab is a non-profit research and innovation centre specializing in material research and technologies, including advanced structural materials, advanced functional materials, transformative materials and advanced manufacturing. 

 

During the launch ceremony, Professor Ping Cui was appointed as the Director of Y-LAB by Dongyao Qiu, Mayor of Ningbo city. Professor Cui is Associate Provost of the University of Nottingham Ningbo China and the founding Director of the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, a research institute affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

 

Professor Cui will lead Y-LAB to work on international cutting-edge research and technologies to integrate innovative industry chains in Zhejiang, and accelerate the growth and development of local industries.
